# Tracking Goal Progress and Metric Targets in Connekt

> Set an org-wide revenue Goal and per-user Metric Targets in Connekt to track performance with colour-coded actual vs. target indicators.

Connekt gives you two distinct but complementary tools for measuring performance against expectations: a company-level **Goal** that tracks overall revenue, and **Metric Targets** that set individual KPI benchmarks for each team member. Together they help you keep the whole organisation — and every person in it — pointed in the right direction.

## The Company Goal

The Goal is a single, org-wide revenue target for a defined period. There is only one active Goal at a time, shared across your entire workspace.

### Setting the Goal

<Note>
  Only admins can create or update the company Goal.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Goal settings">
    Go to **Settings → Goals**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter the target">
    Set the target revenue value and the time period it applies to.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save**. The Goal takes effect immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Tracking Goal Progress

Once a Goal is set, anyone in the workspace can check progress from the dashboard.

1. Go to **Dashboard**.
2. Find the **Goal Progress** card.
3. Progress is displayed as a percentage of actual revenue against the target — for example, "74% of goal reached."

## Metric Targets

Metric Targets are granular KPI benchmarks set on a per-user basis. They let you define what "good" looks like for each person — for example, a target of 4 placements per month or £50,000 revenue per quarter.

### Setting Metric Targets

<Note>
  Only admins can create or update Metric Targets.
</Note>

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Metric Targets settings">
    Go to **Settings → Metric Targets**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Create a new target">
    Click **Create Target**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Configure the target">
    Select the **user**, choose the **KPI** you want to benchmark, and enter the **target value**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Save">
    Click **Save**. The target appears on that user's dashboard immediately.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Viewing Metric Targets

Targets are surfaced in context so they're always visible alongside real performance data.

* **Individual users** see their own targets on their personal dashboard under the **Individual Metrics** cards. Each card shows the actual value alongside the target, colour-coded for instant interpretation:
  * 🟢 **Green** — on track or exceeding the target
  * 🟡 **Amber** — approaching but not yet at target
  * 🔴 **Red** — below target
* **Managers** see their team members' targets and actuals in the Team view, making it easy to spot who needs support at a glance.

<Tip>
  Use Metric Targets as a talking point in one-to-ones. The colour-coded view means both you and the team member can see the same numbers in real time, keeping performance conversations grounded in data rather than memory.
</Tip>
