# Assigning Recruiters and Team Members to a Job in Connekt

> Add individual recruiters or bulk-assign multiple users to a job, understand what assignment controls, and learn how to remove an assignment.

Assignments are how you control who's working a role in Connekt. Assigning a team member to a job puts that job in their personal view, logs the action in the job's activity history, and — critically for Researcher-role users — grants them visibility of the role. There's no limit to how many people you can assign to a single job, so you can build out full recruitment teams for complex or high-priority roles.

## What Assignment Does

Understanding what happens when you assign someone helps you use assignments deliberately:

<Accordion title="Personal job view">
  Assigned jobs appear in each team member's personal job view, making it easy for them to filter to just the roles they're actively working without sifting through the entire jobs list.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Activity log">
  Every assignment and removal is recorded in the job's activity history — including who made the change and when. This gives you a clear record of team involvement over the life of a role.
</Accordion>

<Accordion title="Researcher role visibility">
  Users with the **Researcher** role can only see jobs they've been explicitly assigned to. Assignment is the access control mechanism for Researchers — if a Researcher can't see a job, check that they've been assigned to it.
</Accordion>

<Warning>
  Assigned and removed users are **not** sent a notification when their assignment changes. Make sure you let your team know directly when you add them to a role, especially for urgent or time-sensitive positions.
</Warning>

## Removing an Assignment

To remove a team member from a job, scroll to the **Assignments** section and click the **X** next to their name. The removal is logged in the job's activity history.

<Note>
  There is no limit on the number of team members you can assign to a single job. Add as many people as the role requires.
