<Tip>
  A detailed job description dramatically improves AI matching results. The more context Connekt has about the role, the better it can surface relevant candidates from your database. See [AI Matching](/candidates/matching-candidates-to-jobs) for how matching works.
</Tip>

<Note>
  Jobs default to **Open** status on creation. You can change the status at any time from the job detail view by clicking the status badge. See [Job Statuses](/jobs/job-statuses) for a full explanation of each status.
