# Submission Statuses: All 19 Stages Explained in Connekt

> A complete reference for all 19 submission statuses in Connekt — from Submitted through to Hired — and how to update a status on any submission record.

Submissions move through a defined set of stages as a candidate progresses through the hiring process. Connekt provides 19 statuses in total, split between active pipeline stages and paused or closed outcomes. Keeping statuses up to date ensures your pipeline accurately reflects reality and makes reporting meaningful.
