# Approving or Rejecting Leave Requests as a Manager

> Review pending leave requests in Connekt, approve or reject them with an optional reason, and keep your team's time-off records accurate.

As a Manager or Operations user, you can review and action leave requests submitted by anyone in your workspace. When a team member submits a request, it appears in your Leave Requests queue and the employee is notified once you take action. Approving or rejecting a request takes just a few clicks, and you can include a reason when rejecting so the employee understands the decision.

## Accessing Leave Requests

1. Go to **Time Off → Leave Requests**.
2. The list shows all requests that are currently **Pending** and awaiting action.
3. Click any request to open the detail view.

## What you'll see in the request detail

Each request detail page shows you everything you need to make an informed decision:

* **Employee name** and **leave type**

## Important notes

<Warning>
  You cannot approve or reject your own leave requests. If you need to submit leave, another Manager or Operations user in your workspace will need to action it.
</Warning>

<Info>
  Leave approvals are not restricted to a single named manager. Any Manager or Operations user in your workspace can approve or reject any pending request — so requests won't be blocked if the usual approver is unavailable.
