Creating and configuring custom fields requires
system_administration permission. This is available to Super Administrator and Administrator roles by default.Accessing Field Configuration
- Go to Settings → Field Configuration.
- Select the entity you want to configure from the list.
Creating a custom field

Select your entity
In Settings → Field Configuration, click the entity you want to add a field to (for example, Candidate).

Add a new field
Click Add Field.

Choose a field type
Select the type that best matches the data you want to capture:
Additional specialised field types are also available in the selector.

Set the field label
Enter a clear, descriptive label for the field — this is what users will see on forms and record pages.

Set required or optional
Toggle whether the field is Required (users must fill it in when creating or editing the record) or optional.

Save the field
Click Save. The field is immediately available on the selected entity.
Reordering fields
The order of fields in the Field Configuration screen controls the order they appear on create forms, edit forms, and detail pages.- In Settings → Field Configuration, select the entity.
- Drag fields into your preferred order using the drag handle on each row.
Where custom fields appear
Once created, custom fields appear automatically in three places for the relevant entity:Create form
When adding a new record, custom fields appear alongside default fields in the creation form.
Edit form
When editing an existing record, custom fields are available for updating in the same form layout.
Detail page
On the record’s detail page, custom fields display alongside default fields so all data is visible in one place.
