The 8 Job Statuses
Open
The role is actively being recruited for and accepts new candidate submissions. This is the default status when a job is first created.
In Progress
Recruiting is actively underway, with candidates moving through the pipeline stages. Use this to signal active work to your team.
Partially Filled
Used for multi-hire roles where some positions have been filled but recruiting continues for the remaining headcount. Still accepts new submissions.
Filled
All positions on the role have been filled. No further submissions are expected.
On Hold
Recruiting is temporarily paused — the client may have frozen hiring or the brief needs clarifying. The role isn’t closed, just paused.
Closed
The role is no longer active, whether it was ultimately filled or not. No new submissions should be made against a closed job.
Cancelled
The role was called off before being filled — for example, the client cancelled the requirement or it was filled internally.
Inactive
The job is not currently being worked and is hidden from default active job views. Use this for roles that are on long-term pause or deprioritised.
How to Change a Job’s Status
1
Open the job record
Navigate to Jobs in the main navigation and open the role you want to update.
2
Click the Status badge
Find the Status badge at the top of the job record and click it.
3
Select the new status
Choose the new status from the dropdown list.
4
Confirm
The change saves immediately. The new status appears on the badge, and the change is automatically logged in the job’s activity history with a timestamp.
Closed and Cancelled Jobs Are Never Deleted
Closing or cancelling a job doesn’t delete it. Closed and cancelled jobs remain in Connekt permanently — they can be found using the status filter in the jobs list view and are fully searchable. All associated submissions, placements, notes, and history are preserved. This keeps your records complete for reporting, compliance, and future reference.
