Internal signers
Internal signers are team members who already have a Connekt account in your workspace.- How to add them — select the person from the user dropdown in the Signers section when setting up the document.
- How they’re notified — when it’s their turn to sign, Connekt sends them an email with their unique signing link.
- Where they sign — directly in their browser via their unique signing link.
External signers
External signers are anyone outside your organisation — candidates, clients, and third-party contractors are the most common examples.- How to add them — type their name and email address manually in the Signers section.
- How they’re notified — when it’s their turn, they receive an email with their unique signing link.
- Where they sign — directly in their browser via the link. No Connekt account is required at any point.
External signers never need to create a Connekt account. The entire signing experience happens in their browser through their unique link.
Signing order
Signers always sign in the order they appear in the Signers list. Connekt does not notify the next signer until the previous one has completed their part. This sequential flow is particularly useful when one signature must precede another — for example, when a candidate must sign an offer letter before the hiring manager countersigns it. Simply add signers in the required order.
Security
Connekt protects the integrity of each signature with link-level security controls.Unique links
Every signer receives their own unique, one-time signing link tied to their specific email address. No two signers share a link.
Non-transferable
A signing link cannot be forwarded to complete someone else’s signing obligation. The link is bound to the signer it was issued to.
