1
Add a Company
A Company is the business doing the hiring. Go to Companies → Create, enter the company name and any relevant details, and save the record.
2
Create a Job
A Job represents the open role you’re recruiting for. Go to Jobs → Create, add the job title, and save.Linking the job to a company is optional at this stage — you can do it now or come back to it later. Additional detail like salary range, description, and requirements can also be added at any time.
3
Add a Candidate
A Candidate is the person you’re placing. Go to Candidates → Create and enter their name and contact details. If you have their CV handy, upload it — Connekt can auto-parse the resume details for you and pre-fill the candidate record. See Adding a Candidate for more on how this works.
4
Submit the Candidate to the Job
Open the Job you created, go to the Submissions tab, and click Submit Candidate. Select the candidate you just added. This links the candidate to the job and starts tracking their progress through your pipeline stages — from initial submission through to offer and hire.
5
Convert to a Placement
When the candidate reaches Offer Accepted or Hired status, open their Submission and click Create Placement. Enter the placement details — start date, fee, and any splits — then confirm. The placement is now recorded in your financials and will appear in your reporting. Your first hire is officially logged in Connekt.
You don’t have to complete all five steps in one session. Connekt saves your progress at each stage, so you can add a company today, create jobs tomorrow, and build out your candidate database over time.
