Connekt gives you three ways to bring candidates into your database: typing their details directly, uploading one or more resume files for automatic AI parsing, or importing a large batch from a CSV spreadsheet. Choose the method that fits the situation — quick manual entry for a single referral, resume upload when you have CVs in hand, or bulk import when you’re migrating an entire pipeline.

Manual Entry

1

Open the Candidates section

Go to Candidates in the main navigation.
2

Start a new record

Click Create to open the candidate creation form.
3

Fill in the candidate's details

Enter the candidate’s name, email, phone, status, and skills. Complete any custom fields your workspace admin has configured — these vary by team.
4

Save the record

Click Save. The candidate profile opens immediately so you can continue adding information.

Resume Upload with AI Parsing

Upload one CV or drop in up to 50 at once and let Connekt’s AI do the heavy lifting. Supported formats are PDF, DOCX, and HTML.
1

Open the upload dialog

Go to Candidates → Upload, or click the upload option inside the Create form.
2

Add your resume files

Drag and drop up to 50 resume files into the upload dialog, or click to browse and select them. You can mix PDF, DOCX, and HTML files in the same batch.
3

Let the AI parse the data

Connekt reads each resume and automatically maps the extracted information — name, contact details, skills, experience, education — to the correct candidate fields.
4

Review and confirm

Check the parsed results for each candidate, correct anything that looks off, and confirm the import to create the records.
The richer and more consistently formatted the resume, the more accurate the AI parsing. Always do a quick review before confirming, especially for older or heavily designed CV layouts.

Bulk CSV Import

When you’re migrating from another system or need to add a large structured batch of candidate records, the CSV import wizard is the right tool. This is a separate flow — it lives in Settings → Data Import and requires admin access.
CSV import is designed for spreadsheet data, not for resumes. If you have CVs, use the resume upload method above. For the full step-by-step CSV import guide, see Bulk Import.

After Creating a Candidate

Once you’ve saved a candidate record, a few follow-up actions will help you get the most value from Connekt:

Notes

Open the Notes tab to add context about the candidate — sourcing notes, interview impressions, or anything your team needs to know.

Attachments

Use the Attachments tab to upload their resume, cover letter, portfolio, or any other supporting documents (up to 25 MB per file).

Matching Open Jobs

The Matching Open Jobs card on the candidate profile uses AI to surface roles they may be a strong fit for. Click Find Matches to run a search. See AI Matching for details.
Custom fields shown on the creation form are configured by your workspace admin. If you need additional fields added, reach out to your Connekt admin.
