Submitting a candidate links them to a specific job opening and kicks off the recruitment pipeline for that pairing. You can start the process from either the job record or the candidate’s profile — both routes create the same submission record.

From a Job Record

Use this approach when you already have the job open and want to add one or more candidates to it.
1

Open the job

Navigate to the job you want to submit the candidate to.
2

Go to the Submissions tab

Click the Submissions tab on the job record.
3

Click Submit Candidate

Click the Submit Candidate button to open the submission dialog.
4

Find the candidate

Search for and select the candidate you want to submit.
5

Add submission notes

Optionally add notes — for example, why they’re a strong fit or any caveats the hiring team should know.
6

Submit

Click Submit to create the submission record.

From a Candidate Profile

Use this approach when you’re reviewing a candidate and want to put them forward for a specific role.
1

Open the candidate profile

Navigate to the candidate you want to submit.
2

Go to the Jobs or Submissions tab

Click the Jobs or Submissions tab on the candidate profile.
3

Click Submit to Job

Click Submit to Job to open the submission dialog.
4

Find the job

Search for and select the job you want to submit them to.
5

Add notes and submit

Add any relevant notes, then click Submit.

What Happens Next

After you submit, Connekt automatically takes care of a few things:
  • A Submission record is created that links the candidate to the job.
  • The submission’s initial status is set to Submitted.
  • The submission appears in the job’s pipeline view so your team can track progress.
  • Any notes you added at submission time are recorded in the submission’s activity log.
Connekt doesn’t currently block or warn you if you submit the same candidate to the same job more than once. Before submitting, check the candidate’s existing submissions on that job to avoid creating duplicates.
