Creating a job opening in Connekt takes less than a minute for the basics, and as much detail as you want to add for richer AI matching and cleaner reporting. Every job needs only a title to get started — everything else can be filled in now or added later as the brief develops. New jobs are set to Open status automatically, so they’re immediately available for candidate submissions and AI matching.

Creating the Job

1

Open the Jobs section

Go to Jobs in the main navigation.
2

Start a new job

Click Create to open the job creation form.
3

Enter the job title

Type the job title — this is the only required field. Make it specific enough to be meaningful (e.g. “Senior React Engineer – London” rather than just “Engineer”).
4

Link a company

Search for an existing company in the Company field, or create a new one inline. Linking a company is recommended but optional — you can come back and add it later if needed.
5

Fill in optional details

Complete as many of the following fields as you have information for:
6

Complete any custom fields

If your admin has configured custom fields for jobs — such as fee percentage, job reference number, or industry sector — fill those in now.
7

Save the job

Click Save. The job record opens immediately so you can continue setting it up.

After Creating the Job

A newly saved job is live and ready to use, but a few extra steps will set your team up for success:

Assign Team Members

Open the Assignments section to add the recruiters and account managers working this role. Assigned users see the job in their personal view and Researchers only see jobs they’re assigned to. See Assign Team Members.

Add Briefing Notes

Use the Notes tab to capture the client brief, must-have requirements, or anything else your team needs to know when sourcing for this role.

Upload Job Specs

Attach the client’s job description, briefing document, or any supporting materials in the Attachments tab so the whole team has the same reference point.
A detailed job description dramatically improves AI matching results. The more context Connekt has about the role, the better it can surface relevant candidates from your database. See AI Matching for how matching works.
Jobs default to Open status on creation. You can change the status at any time from the job detail view by clicking the status badge. See Job Statuses for a full explanation of each status.
