Connekt Notetaker automatically records, transcribes, and summarises your recruiting calls, then saves the results straight to the relevant Candidate, Job, or Company record in your workspace. This means less time writing up notes after calls and more confidence that nothing important gets missed. Today, Notetaker works with Google Meet — Zoom and Microsoft Teams are not currently supported. The Chrome extension gives you the most complete Notetaker experience, including a live transcript while your call is running.
1

Install the extension

Install the Connekt Notetaker Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store and sign in with your Connekt account credentials.
2

Join your meeting

Join your Google Meet call as you normally would.
3

Start recording

A banner appears in the meeting offering to start recording. Click it to begin. Connekt will start capturing audio and generating a live transcript.
4

Review the live transcript

While the call is running, a live transcript appears in the sidebar. You can refer to it in real time to confirm names, decisions, or action items without relying on memory.
5

Meeting ends — notes are generated automatically

When the call ends, Connekt automatically:
  • Uploads the recording
  • Generates an AI summary of the conversation
  • Compiles a list of action items
  • Saves everything as a Meeting Note
6

Link the note to a record

From the Meeting Note, link it to the relevant Candidate, Job, or Company record in Connekt so it appears alongside your other notes and activity for that record.

Joining with a Bot (Experimental)

If you need an ad-hoc recording option without setting up the extension in advance, you can send a bot into an already-open Google Meet call directly from the extension popup.
  1. Open the Connekt Notetaker extension popup in Chrome.
  2. Select Join with bot and provide the meeting link.
  3. The bot joins the call on your behalf and begins capturing the session.
  4. After the meeting ends, the summary and notes are generated and saved — just like the extension path.
The bot path has some differences from the full Chrome extension experience:
  • It only works with Google Meet
  • It’s not tied to your calendar — you trigger it manually per meeting
  • There is no live transcript during the call; the summary and notes are only available after the meeting ends

Where to Find Your Meeting Notes

Meeting notes appear in two places:
  • On the linked Candidate, Job, or Company record in Connekt, alongside your other notes and activity for that record
  • In the Chrome extension itself — you can review recent meeting summaries directly from the extension popup without needing to navigate to the full web app
Connekt Notetaker is an actively evolving feature. You can expect improvements to reliability, transcript accuracy, and platform coverage — including support for additional meeting platforms beyond Google Meet — over time.
