A Placement records a confirmed hire, including all fee and invoicing details. In Connekt there are two ways to create one: converting from an existing submission, or creating a placement directly from scratch. Both result in the same record — the difference is how much data Connekt pre-fills for you.
Converting from a submission is the recommended approach because the candidate, job, and company are pre-filled automatically, reducing the risk of data entry errors. If the candidate’s submission has reached Offer Accepted or Hired status, follow the steps in Converting a Submission to a Placement.
Always use this method when a submission already exists. It keeps the submission and placement linked, so you have a complete history from first contact to placement in one place.

Recruiter Splits

Recruiter splits define how the placement fee is divided among the people who contributed to closing the deal. You can configure splits during placement creation or edit them at any time afterwards from the Placement record or the Commission Drawer on the pipeline board. See Deal Splits for a full explanation of auto-calculation, manual overrides, and split categories.

Documents

You can attach documents to a placement at creation time or add them later by opening the Placement record. Typical documents include:
  • Offer letters
  • Signed employment contracts
  • Background check results
  • Client-signed fee agreements
