A Project is a structured candidate shortlist tied to a specific search mandate or client assignment. Use Projects when you’re actively working a role and need to organise the candidates you’re considering — they keep your shortlist separate from your wider candidate database and make it easy to share progress with colleagues or clients. Unlike Talent Pools, Projects are purpose-built for a single engagement rather than a standing bench.

Creating a Project

1

Go to the Projects tab

Navigate to Lists → Projects.
2

Start a new project

Click Create Project.
3

Name your project

Enter a descriptive name that identifies the role and client, for example: “Head of Marketing — Acme Corp”.
4

Add a description

Adding a description is optional but recommended — it helps colleagues understand the scope of the search at a glance.
5

Link to a company (optional)

If the role is tied to a company record in Connekt, link it here.
6

Create

Click Create to save the project and open it.

Adding Candidates to a Project

1

Open the project

Click into the project from Lists → Projects.
2

Add candidates

Click Add Candidates.
3

Search and select

Search for candidates by name or use filters to narrow the list, then select the candidates you want to include.
4

Confirm

Click Add to save your selection to the project.

Sharing a Project with Your Team

You can give colleagues access to view or edit a project without sharing everything in your workspace.
1

Open project settings

Inside the project, click Settings.
2

Grant access

Click Grant Access.
3

Set access level

Search for the user, select their access level — either View (read-only) or Edit (can add or remove candidates and update project details) — then confirm.
You can also share a project externally with a client via a magic link. For details, see Sharing a Project with a Client.

Deleting a Project

When a search is complete and you no longer need the project, you can permanently delete it.
  1. Open the project and go to Settings → Delete.
  2. Confirm the deletion.
Deletion is permanent. Deleted projects cannot be recovered, and there is no archived view where they can be retrieved later. Before deleting, make sure you’ve saved any information — candidate notes, summaries, or contact details — that you’ll want to reference in the future.
